Everyone knows that magazine worthy design is all in the details, but getting those finishing touches don’t have to cost a lot of time or money. With a little creative prowess, a hot glue gun, and maybe even a glass of wine, you can create holiday decorations that your guests will ask you about long after the Christmas season has come to a close. Garlands give an elegant but whimsical touch to your holiday home decor and with this simple tutorial, you can create your very own in less than 10 minutes.

The wonderful thing about his tutorial is that you can adjust the colors and length of the garland easily to suit your needs and personal style. For this DIY Tassel Garland you’ll need 2.5cm felt balls, yarn, a large tassel maker (we use the one from Clover), scissors, string, and needle. Now that you have all of your supplies gathered, we can get started:

1.    Use yarn to make tassels with tassel maker. The quantity you need is based on the desired length of the garland. If you’re not familiar with the tassel maker, you can find a tutorial here. http://www.clover-usa.com/en/index.php?controller=attachment&id_attachment=66

2.    Measure string for the total length of the garland and thread the needle.

3.    Thread felt balls and tassels in your desired sequence.

4.    Admire your finished work!
